After majoring in Pre- Socratic Greek philosophy and 16th Century Chinese History, I worked on a cattle station in north western Australia in the 1980’s.
I then produced audio visual designs for international corporate clients and museums based in Sydney where I was a contributing photographer and curator of images for the Australian Pavilion, World Expo ’92 in Seville.
I freelanced in London as a photographer in the 1990’s shooting editorial, advertising, theatre, opera, annual reports and worked pro-bono in India for a year for various NGOs. After 2000, I studied further in Wales and Belfast and started teaching and my exhibiting work.
I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Photojournalism, a M.A in Documentary Photography and a M.F.A. in Photography.
I lectured in Photography, Photojournalism, Fashion Semiotics and the Semiotics of Visual Culture for fifteen years in Barcelona.
Now I live in beautiful Asturias, northern Spain.
