Photographing the skin of a city allows the history of layers and textures to guide us through time, using the design of the grid structure as the binary thread linking the images and cities together.

 

Using a 5x4 inch view camera, I layer up to five different exposures on each sheet of film to blend centuries of marks I notice on the facades.
